  •  Hello to all.  Some people seem to think that I do not update my site enough, so in honor of those, here is my annual 6 month update.

My post is actually back dated a bit in order to catch you up.  It is primarily centered around some very close friends of mine - the fearsome forsome - Amber (my sis), Sheri, and Parla.  (I would make the fourth, for anyone keeping track of numbers)  In case you have not yet heard of the fearsome foresome I will bring you up to date.  We have been friends since way back when our moms dressed us in funny clothes.  Some of the best years of our lives were spent together - chasing each other around on golf carts, campouts, playing pocker and listening to the Statler Brothers, telling secrets, sharing dreams, and simplying going growing up together.  Many good memories made.  So, here is to the Fearsome Foursome.

Way back in May, our dear friend Sheri who had been over in China for 8 months, was coming home and Amber, Parla, and I were of the few select who knew of her exact date of home coming.  In fact, we were the lucky choosen to pick her up at the airport....

                           Dressing Room

Okay, So we finally arrive at the airport on time......

                        Airport Sheri

    Jumping into August:

For our annual beach trip this year we decided to go camping at Lake Michigan.  Amber, my sis, is serving a two year term at Gospel Echoes in Indiana and so it worked out better for us to go out there instead of her coming down here.  So Sheri, Parla, and I headed north, picking up Amber and my uncles motor home in Indiana we headed on to Michigan were we spent the weekend.  Many more great memories made....

                              Lake Michigan

We also ran into our dear ol' friend Miss (Mrs.) Rache......

                        Coffee Shoppe

Well, that's going to be it for this post.  I apologize if it gets all screwed up once it gets to the main page.  This is the first time I've used this new collage thing and I don't know exactly how its going to look, but I'll give it a try.  I'll try not to take so long to update next time.  See ya'll around.

  • I just got a very intimidating comment which informed me that it's time to update.  So here goes....

    My wonderful hubby

The hat hides the total cuteness, but it's still there.

We (mostly he) were working on a project for my brother for his b-day.  Seth cut it out and put it all together and my job was to sand and stain (sorry not picts.).  How hard could that be right? Well, I got the sanding done okay, but today, I went to stain the crazy thing and clutsy me dumped the whole can of varnish.  What a mess, all over my, all over the work bench, the floor, the drill (oops) - you name it, it hit it.  Needless to say I was quite upset (no need in repeating any of what was said.) I guess it could have been worse, it could have been glue.

    Don't ya love the white.

Some projects I've been working one:

I finally painted my bathroom and hung some stuff on the wall .  I made the flower thing on the wall out of a clothes hanger and floural wire, that got me started on another project...

    IMG_2251

I also made an eifle tower for Lis and am working on a skyline for her liveing room. (I'm actually at a standstill right not, kinda got tired of it.)

And of course cooking, always cooking.  Acutally I don't make stuff like this very often, but my hubby was hungry for a pumpkin pie, so wa-la.  I don't normally take a picts of my food, but I was kinda proud of this pie cause the crust acutally turned out pretty good.

Well, I'll catch up with ya'll again in a couple of months.

  • Hi everyone,

Okay, so I really am not very good at this xanga thing, but I have been very busy.  Don't really have any new picts to post so I'm going to post some from my trip to Indiana last month when I went to see my sis. (I know I should've posted them then, but hey, better late then never.)

School has been a major part of my life lately - don't have any picts of that - feel fortunate as they would probably bore you to death. Anywho, this semester is nearly over and I'm really feeling the crunch.  1 semester down, 4 to go. Yeah.

Well, enough rambling, here are some picts...

  • Last night I went cross bow hunting with my hubby.  He was going to let me shoot a deer IF we saw one, which we didn't.  I've never actually seen a deer while I was hunting, and the same was true for last night, but we had a good time anyways and I got some good picts from our tree stand. (Next time I'll have some picts. with a dead deer b/c the next time I go hunting I'm going to kill one.

    The Stand

This is looking down from the stand to the ground.  Its really hard to get the whole idea of it.  Seth and his dad build it and it was definately built for a man.  I had a hard time climbing it in a skirt b/c the "rungs" (don't know if thats right) of the ladder were really far apart.  I had to practically pu my knee in my mouth to climb up to the next step, and I was in a skirt.

  • NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Two weekends ago (Sept 28th-30th) I actually got my hubby to go to NYC with me - and the Red Seas parted. (If you didn't get that, I'm just saying it was a miracle that he went b/c he hates to travel, especially to a city) Anyways we went with Brian and Melissa Yoder, and we all had a lot of fun, including Seth.  We stayed with a wonderful family from Brooklyn, Daniel and June (don't remember their last name.)  They were wonderful, very hospitable.  She fixed breakfast for us every morning and he helped to get us get aquainted with the city and the subway system.  Speaking of which that was very interesting - the subway.  We "almost" got arrested b/c we went in a wrong gate at the subway station.  Truth be told we didn't actual come close to getting arrested, but a security guard with a very New York accent, promptly stopped us before we got our last foot through the gate and told us we were not to do that again and that we could get fined or thrown in jail for it .  A little bit of a heart thumper, he was kinda scary, but we survived.

Anyways, here are a few picts from the great city.  If you've never been I reccomend that you visit. (I think Seth would agree.   )

About Me

  • I am happily married to a wonderful man, Seth. We've been married for almost a year and a half. I work at the hospital as well as going to school for nursing. I enjoying being outside, although I have not been in the great out of doors much this summer due to the grewling (sp?) night shift thing. I love all of my wonderful friends, and love hanging out with em. That's all I'm going to say about myself for now. I'll add more when I have more time.
